Great characters, with each of the three books told from the viewpoint of a different character. The Griffin Mage is the common link throughout the trilogy. He is a compelling character and will be remembered by the reader long after the book is finished. The writing style is elegant and will satisfy lovers of language mastery. I'm very stingy with my five-star ratings, and I'm holding back from giving the full five stars in light of such masters as Robert Jordan or Stephen Donaldson. Still, there is something to be said for a trilogy that is complete in itself and doesn't stretch out over decades while the reader waits for a promised "last volume".Product details

Even if it takes longer to read three books in one volume it is worth it because you do not forget things from one book to another. The world building in this one is great and the characters are intriguing.
